Bubulcus & Bolotas Campground and Holiday home

At less than two hours driving from Lisbon you will find Bubulcus & Bolotas Campground and Holiday home. It is a nature camping site that was set up by Waldemar and Tânia (both former IRG members). It is in the middle of the Alentejo province in a Mediterranean forest with Holm oaks and rock roses. The flora and fauna in this corner of Europe are quite special. Bubulcus & Bolotas is all about experiencing nature and is strongly founded on sustainability in all its aspects. Read more on our web-site: www.bbcamping.eu (you can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram and on our blog)

If you want to camp and bring your own gear, we have an attractive offer for IRG participants (prices in Euro per night: adult 3, small tent 3, car 3). There is also a company in Lisbon that rents camping equipment with reduction for IRG participants: www.freespiritcampers.com.

We also rent a fully equipped tent for two persons for 36 Euro per night. We only have one of these, so make sure to make your reservation a.s.a.p.

For those that want even more comfort, we have a luxurious bungalow for maximum 4 adults at 86 Euro per night. There is also only one of these, so make your reservation a.s.a.p.

How to get there.
Public transportation is difficult since we are very much in the interior of the country. There is a train from Lisbon to Évora (35 km from Vimieiro). There is also a bus from Lisbon to Vimieiro (4 km from the camping site). It goes only once per day (and not every day).
By far the best option is to come by (rented) car. It is also convenient for making trips in the surroundings (we have made descriptions of several interesting trips). Vimieiro direction Pavia N251. After 2 km turn left onto the gravel road.

Wheather in May.
You can expect sometimes rain (but certainly not often). The range of mean daytime temperatures is around 14 °C (min) and 23 °C (max). There is an average of 9 hours of sun per day. The UV Index in this time of year is high (9).
